Touch current program will be applicable to laboratories that test according to IEC 60950, IEC 60335 (leakage) and IEC 60065. The equipment required for these is harmonised according to IEC60990. The sample will be a black box with 2 tests to be performed. Participants will be asked to populate a results sheet in the section relevant to the standard they are working to. In addition to using the “official” touch current equipment, participants will have the opportunity to use other equipment, such as regular current meters and oscilloscopes to perform the measurements. In the data analysis, all data combined will be analysed in addition to each standard as a unit. |
